Played Thunder Force II for the first time yesterday! I suck at shmups but I couldn't ever be that mad at starting over when the first level has awesome music.

I played Tommy Lasorda Baseball on Genesis yesterday and that game made me feel incompetent and dumb. So then I played Super Daisenryaku and although there was a huge language barrier trying to play a slow turn-based strategy game in Japanese, the beats during my turn were still fire.

Finished Phantasy Star II on stream this past Saturday. It's a basic game with a simple story and some antiquated battle mechanics, but the game woke up something deep in the core of my character. I'd spend moments at work with the music in my head, looking forward to when I was going to play (1/🧵)

Time to become diligent once more! This week's schedule! Doubling up on Genesis Journeys so we can hopefully burn through Phantasy Star II! Tomorrow at 7PM EST, and then Saturday at 4PM EST! Thursday, we'll be trying to get more equipment for Malak in Final Fantasy Tactics! Tough times at 4PM EST!
For those unaware, Hitoshi Sakimoto is one of the best FM chiptune artists like.. ever. Amazing stuff. A lot of his works are here and listenable in this link(along with co-composers). Batrider, Revolter, and Gauntlet IV are standouts IMO.
