My final day teaching with the youth theater group I’ve worked for for 15 years was yesterday. The kids all signed a card and drew Donkey Kong crying on the front saying “we will miss you”. Moments like this are what make life worth living.

This is a call for desperation I do every few years. Did anyone else play the PS1 Sunsoft Tactical RPG Eternal Eyes? Where you have Digimon-esque evolution, but with permadeath, so you have to reset/regrow them with every failure? It's been decades and I've never spoken about it with anyone.

Today in "I made my students play Nintendo games during their break", I had them play Star Fox co-op, where I was the Arwing and they were the gun. They did not like charging and did not use bombs wisely. This may be because they hated Peppy because he was old, bossed them around, and died often.
