decided to boot up Warframe on my tablet since my computer isn’t set up and while it was downloading updates I noticed that the images here are up-to-date but the text? not so much haha

screenshot of Warframe downloading an update on a tablet, showing Amir’s Nightwave captioned as Vauban heirloom collectionscreenshot of a splash screen for the most recent Warframe update, but titled “The Old Peace” screenshot of a recent Warframe screenshot depicting Sirius and Orion, with text describing an older update, The Old Peace.

the reference I just posted is probably a year old, I’ve been using that art of him with the back of its’ jacket and my personal PNG of his shirt design this whole time without posting it because I wanted a more full reference for others to see and use

the issue with a lot of my characters being adopted from DA a decade ago is that many of the design credit links have become victims of link rot I still credit the old links because I have nothing else, but I wish I could credit properly It's sad that so many artists deleted their DAs, but I get why

I also don’t understand why any design HAS to be used long term. If it made someone happy, even for a couple of minutes, and an artist got paid, literally what is the issue? On the flip side, getting to see a design I’ve made become how someone presents themselves online is such an honor.

I did not finish my Art Fight blog post, and I also missed other stuff I wanted to do because: busy. but now that achievements have been handed out for it i will say that I'm a little disappointed that there's not one for 10 years of participation (silly)

I want to stream art I'm making on my iPad through (?) my Windows computer and OBS to Discord so I can use my good mic / TTS, PNGtuber thing, and easily cover up the screen when I'm exporting the art / importing references if anyone has ideas on how I can do that please reveal your secrets

you don't have to produce any content of your OCs btw, or commission art, or anything. you can just collect them, you can just think about them, you don't need tangible proof that you're "using" your characters enough to justify their existence

I code my website in a weirdly thorough way where I'm always working to shave down unnecessary parts, adding comments, etc. because that unnecessary extra work is my favorite part

my website code is easy to steal from if you inspect it, I even include comments labeling what's what I obviously don't want anyone snatching up all my content, my text and images, but the way pages are set up and general appearance is totally free game

I'm still working on a blog entry about Art Fight that'll hopefully get done this weekend, but I decided to take it in a different direction since the part about preparing ahead of time / how to draw faster is long enough to be an entry of its' own.
