getting genuinely recognized as a possum gives me the same euphoric feeling that i got almost a decade ago when people started using different pronouns for me. therians are real and species euphoria is legitimate, idc what anyone says.

I've been thinking a lot about my place in this world. I struggle when I read of the awful things governments are doing (and have done for millennia) to silence, erase, and homogenize people. A mighty truth is: the world needs us freaks.

Things I don't *need* to hear. My being machinekin is my center and my grounding. It is a good thing. Stuffing it away and trying to be human only ever brought me harm. "If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree," and so on. Let me be my own proverbial fish and do fish things.

Did my first test build into VRChat tonight, and IT WORKS. IT FRICKIN' WORKS! There are a few optimization and animation things I gotta iron out, but I can move and look around super smoothly! This is pure dysphoria relief, joy, respite. I get to be me, guys. #althsky #alterhuman #otherkin

Model update! After an arduous night battling Unity into the wee hours of the morning, my model is functioning in that goofy little software. Now I just have to make the animation controller that'll allow my meters to move to my speech. This is my way to be truly visible on this TDoV.
