📨 NEO-MESO POST X TALON AND THE CHAMPIONS OF SAURITHIA 🦕 Our wonderful friends from @neomesopost.bsky.social created by @k-cookie-brooke.bsky.social⁩, have joined us for this adventure, see what would happen if their timelines collided Illustrated by @renciel.bsky.social & Cookie-Brooke ❤️

From mighty postage to magic powers?! Our friends from TALON: Champions of Saurithia (@lunar-dragon-ent.bsky.social) have stopped by for a CROSSOVER! This can only end well…

A tall, blue skinned, elf-like man named Azirak looks toward the viewer at the sound of a shout.

TEXT:
Talon (OOF): Azirak! Come quick!

-

A young Dakotaraptor named Talon exits a treeline from behind some bushes, an excited grin on her face.

TEXT:
Talon: We found the next champions!

-

Another young dinosaur, Kota the alamosaurus, uses his long neck to push two other dinosaurs into the clearing. Lark the dilophosaurus and Mulberry the parasaurolophus look a little bewildered as they’re skidding.

-

Birds Eye view panel of Lark and Mulberry looking up towards the sky, where in the foreground two dragonflies buzz in circles.

-

In a flash, Lark and Mulberry have been granted magical powers! Lark has gained the Air Aura, control over wind, while Mulberry has gained the Forest Aura, control over plant matter. Talon pops into the panel, excitedly cupping her cheeks.

TEXT:
Talon: The buzzers seem to think so!
Lark: WOAH!
Mulberry: This is CRAZY! …and kinda freaky…

From mighty postage to magic powers?! Our friends from TALON: Champions of Saurithia (@lunar-dragon-ent.bsky.social) have stopped by for a CROSSOVER! This can only end well…

Azirak steps back with caution as Talon rushes forward towards him, excitedly pointing. Meanwhile, Lark and Mulberry hang by Kota, staring at what a bizarre creature Azirak is.

TEXT:
Talon: Whatcha think, huh? Lark and Mulbery’ll be great champions! They’re so cool- and so nice! They come from a place with walls and deliver blahblahblahblahblah-

Lark: What is that?
Mulberry: Don’t be rude!

-

Azirak pinches the bridge of his nose while Talon continues to babble off screen.

TEXT:
Lark (OOF): Sorry…
Azirak: Well…they certainly seem…

-

Azirak is humorously almost blown over, his long beard smacking him in the face as Lark WHOOSHES by him into the air with a gargantuan gust of wind. She’s uncontrolled, spinning upside down with a look of shock on her face.

TEXT:
*WHOOSH*

-

Lark rockets into the sky, quickly gaining control of herself. Everyone else looks like ants on the ground, and Mulberry goes running across the field after her far below.

TEXT:
Azirak: …spirited.
Lark: MULBERRY LOOK! IM FLYING!
Azirak: We’re they alone?
Kota: Yeah.
Azirak: Then we must ensure they get home. Someone may come looking for them. Then, we can move forward with their help. How did you stumble on them anyhow?

-
Close up of Kota’s face as he thinks. A floating thought bubble reveals a kids school notebook styled mini flashback of the kids’ first impressions of each other.

TEXT:
Kota: Well…

Kota: You speak Elmyth?
Lark and Mulberry: YOU CAN TALK!
Talon: WOAH!

Azirak, Talon, Kota, Lark(floating in the air), and Mulberry all approach the gargantuan gates of Raathi. The walls flanking each side are made of trunks of tall trees. Separately, trees and foliage of all sorts of colors grow from within, while the ground outside the gates are mowed down to only dirt.

-
To adult female dinosaurs, Caela the dilophosaurus and Winberi the Sauropelta, have had the sun basking session interrupted by Azirak’s shadow crossing over their heads. They look up in prickled annoyance.

TEXT:
Azirak (OOF): Greetings! I was told we could speak!

-

Azirak stands before the two mothers as he speaks. In the background, Lark is flying in circles while Mulberry rises up from the ground slowly on a twisting bark covered vine.

TEXT:
Azirak: I thought you might like to hear of how Lark and Mulberry have taken to their newfound auras. They seem to quite enjoy them!

-

Same panel. In the background, Lark shoots to the left and faceplants directly into Mulberry’s growing tree. Winberi is shocked. Caela starts growling in displeasure. Azirak actively cringes at the WHAM sound.

-

Talon and Kota flank next to Azirak as he continues to speak.

TEXT:
Azirak: I must stress, the fate of the world is at stake. Rest assured, I’ll make sure they’re safe!

-

Caela and Winberi turn to one another with annoyed and suspicious looks.

Caela’s hand shoots out and GRABS Azirak’s beard and dangling mustache ends, the hair weaved in between her long sharp claws

-

Caela YANKS Azirak towards her by the beard, towering above him at her full size. A murderous grinning glare crosses her face and the entire panel becomes dark red and firey.

TEXT:
Azirak: We you be interested in allowing your-GRK!!
Caela: Would YOU be interested in having the contents of your thoracic and abdominal cavities switch places?

-

The next two panels are extreme close ups. Azirak’s shocked eyes meeting Caela’s furious glare.

-

Azirak snaps his fingers, sparkles appearing.

-

In a poof, Lark and Mulberry have been lost their magical powers and start falling from the sky. Thankfully, Raathi’s aerial squad swoops in to catch them. Andallez the Thalassodromeus catches Lark on his back, while Tumé and Inge the Tupandactylus catch Mulberry in a tarp stretched out and attached with hooks at the two’s ankles.
Caela and Winberi stare up into the sky with displeasure as Azirak quickly summons pink floating clouds to take him and his two apprentices far away as soon as possible. Talon and Kota are shocked.

TEXT:
Azirak: Understood, madam. Kids, let’s go, quickly!
Talon: WHAT?!
Kota: W-What if Kailorn goes after them?

-

Lark looks over her shoulder from Andallez’s back with a sad and nervous look. On the ground, Tumé and Inge have already landed with Mulberry. Everyone on the ground, except Mulberry, looks up in the sky with equally determined and protective glares. In contrast, Mulberry looks as sad as Lark does.

TEXT:
Azirak (OOF): Something tells me these dinosaurs can handle themselves just fine.

100 years later, dinosaurs in animation are STILL HERE! On September 15th 1914, Winsor McCay registered the copyright for Gertie the Dinosaur, the first-ever animated dinosaur in cinema Today we're celebrating with Talon & Gertie, two dinos with a lot of personality, and a nostalgic song 🕺

I live near a nature park that has a waterfall, and this one secluded spot with mossy stones that drip with water felt like a place straight out of the Mesozoic. I reckon Talon and Kota are enjoying the summer breeze, maybe even bathing in the water. #TalonFest @lunar-dragon-ent.bsky.social

Here’s a little snack while everyone preps to feast in a few days! Meet Breviro! A rather strict but well-meaning Chasmosaurus who came to Raathi many years ago for a fresh start, and now he’s the leader of the Guild of Gather, a division responsible for collecting resources!

A colored digital fullbody of a large and sturdy Chasmosaurus named Breviro.

The base of the ceratopsid is a very very light sage and off-white in color, with prominent mossy green accents on the frill, lower back, and tail.

He is missing the very tip of his tail, and his nasal horn is heavily chipped and worn down.

Breviro appears to be wearing a modified yolk for towing cargo, and a flag with a ceratopsid axe like symbol is fastened to his frill.

Additionally, he bears a strange mark on his frill on his lower left side. It appears to resemble a creature not currently living.

Breviro from the previous slide alongside three of his fellow guild leaders.

From left to right:

Elder Respite: A basal sauropodomorph. Leader of Raathi, head of the council of elders, and leader of the Guild of Lator.

Captain Altan: A deinocheirus. Captain of the guards and Leader of the Guild of Protection (name pending)

Breviro

Ilion, An Achilobator, wheelchair bound. Leader of the Guild of Joy.

DRAGIONE

A drawing of a blue-green nasty little dragon face. Just a nasty nipper, an unpleasant sort, deeply stupid in the eyes and pointy in the teeth. You should probably repost it just in case.

Happy Halloween! Have fun, and stay safe during this spooky day.👻🎃🍬

Talon, a Dakotaraptor dressed in a witches costume, holds a pumpkin. She smiles at Luck, a Purgatorius, standing on top of the pumpkin with a smaller pumpkin raised over his head with joy.
