We're pleased to announce the completion of our Rosewell energy efficiency project! 🎉 Working with Midlothian Council and Easy Heat Systems, we've improved 75 council homes, installing 29 air source heat pumps and solar panels with battery storage to 69 homes.

Scottish Government figures released this week show that 29% of households are living in fuel poverty. Today, we’ve sent a letter to the leaders of all Scottish political parties calling on them to commit to urgent action to tackle this ahead of May’s parliamentary elections.

From April 1st the energy price cap will be set at £1,641 per year for a typical household - a reduction of 7% or £117 compared to current prices 📉 It’s important to remember that this figure is just an average. Your exact costs will depend on how much energy you use and what tariff you are on.

Research carried out by Changeworks shows half of Scots say their homes are too cold, with over a third worried about affording energy bills this winter. Our survey also found that over a third (37%) of Scots are extremely or very concerned about being able to afford their energy bills this winter.

We welcome the Scottish Government’s commitment to support heat decarbonisation and a just energy transition following yesterday’s Budget. However, we are concerned about cuts to key programmes that will help deliver these goals and benefit households across Scotland.
