A humane civilisation does not demand ideological uniformity: It demands equal rights, mutual respect, critical thinking, & accountability. We don't need to agree on the meaning of existence to agree that every human being deserves dignity, equality, freedom, & justice. Can religions accept this?
Trump may have attended better schools than most, due to privilege, but I wonder how capable that crooked brain has been of absorbing much. Trump exaggerated his academic achievements; his reluctance to release his transcripts says all you need to know.
Private Catholic schooling for 3 years, that was it for me... still trying to undo all the fine work my parents did. As THE intelligent species, we have to free ourselves from this nonsense, or we'll never achieve our full potential. Stupidity has put us on the fast track to extinction.
There was never a time in history when the Catholic church was a moral organization.
The fact that humans thru their created god would punish other humans eternally for a temporal deed, does not say anything good about the human concept they also created, Justice!

Compassion matters far more than creed. Perhaps the most useful measure of an ethical civilisation is not how reverently it speaks about goodness, but how seriously it takes the suffering of fellow sentient beings. Religion/The Church & its alleged deities) have dramatically failed their mission.

Have you noticed that many religious people accuse unbelievers of not having read their book? It's BECAUSE I have read so very many books, a.o. on philosophy, science AND religious Scripture, that I now am an atheist. And that goes for many atheists.
