wow this really is the wrong timeline for me to have been born into as a germaphobe what the hell
Once again making a dino and once again a certain tune from a certain movie is playing nonstop in my head and no, no it's not any of the epic tunes from a dino film you'd immediately think of no, it's the got dang ringtone of the satellite phone inside the spino's stomach from Jurassic Park 3 🫠
(is it still called a mermaid if it has legs??) A little something out of the ordinary. Made of various kinds of velvet including iridescent foil snakeskin. The horn and all the ice crystals light up. The wig, ears, crown and horn are all 1 piece. Features a color shifting crystal on the tail fin.
I have a new idea that is too big to be a premade and thus I need to find a client for it in order for it to be made, let me know if you would like to run around as this playful pun :3 -must be a fullsuit -hands can 3, 4 or 5 fingered -must be neck vision -must be toony
"so what are your retirement plans?" I dunno, be dead by 65
Just thinking about how many more fur fabrics we have now, when I made this in 2014 the only dark gray teddy type fur I could find was this French Tissavel, which had a weird stiff awful canvas-like backing, and cost me almost $100 a yard. ALSO pastel yellow fur DID NOT exist at all back then.
currently working on something that's not a fursuit so here is a reminder that I do also do not-fursuit things on a case-by-case basis
custom order canid with extra large ears, and orange cat eyes for an otherworldly touch, (This base is actually meant for resin eyes but with the space inside for glasses it pushed the tear duct vision too far forward to see out of comfortably, so mesh eyes were used to expand the range of vision)
So only now at 40 can I get meds to help my PCOS and only because it was renamed and better recognized as a metabolic disorder, meds to fight the insulin resistance that has caused me so much woe with my weight and is why for years now my fasting blood glucose has been 1 point away from prediabetic
gots toony feathered raptors on the brain since one is next in the queue (and a full raptor not a dragon hybrid this time)
Now would be a great time to get my Ocarina of Time Epona cosplay out of storage and try to fix her up.... (She's 16 years old now and the arm stilts were my first jointed prototype and the joints have become unstable, TBH fixing that alone is quite the task)
I have so many furs for so many things I wanna make, did the Neapolitan and vineyard fox this year but had to drop the price a ton to get em sold, so ya know what? Cheap premades planned for next year! I wanna see these critters made darnit! Already hired someone to make the latte leopard bodysuit!
part of organizing the hoard today was putting some of what I have for premades in their own storage box. I will have proper sheets made up for all these with concept art in the future, but they are for claiming any time. we have: latte leopard/saber spring fox teal leopard/saber Neapolitan fox
up next on the work table, E A R S been a while since I have done all the wiggly squiggly bits, which, uh, curse the "cutaneous marginal pouch" in particular (my brain always goes "wat")
Anyone else see a great dane fursuit on Animal Planet (maybe Discovery Channel or TLC?) in the 90s or early 2000s? The context: I think the show was called "Breed All About It" and the episode was great danes, the lady that they interviewed showed off she had a costume to match her dogs, BUT-
So as to better balance work flow and income fluctuations I will now be open for customer orders twice a year! Every first week of February and first week of August I will give quotes to all inquires and add 5-10 new clients to my queue at that time. Artistic liberty is still open year-round
an artistic liberty commission for a big ol fantasy bird that was mostly a kind of eagle/hawk/falcon, but also had some chocobo vibes including riding gear. I liked inventing a bird, give me more fantasy birds!
LIFE RANT: wish I did not have to be my mom's caretaker, wish I did not have to stay in the house she claims she gifted us but then holds over our heads. She's nasty to my sister and I called it out because my sis is legit broken right now, now my mom is in a flying rage accusing me of elder abuse
I got this adorable miss yesterday and drew her today! :3c !!! YAY my first fursuit purchase!
Looking for a sweet treat? Something fruity like grapes? Something indulgent like ice cream? How about both? If you buy both I can give you a small discount because it would be so cute if they could attend events together <3 www.thedealersden.com/other-items/...
Ugh, our 22 year old van is in need of work, replace some tubes, new radiator, oil leak up behind somewhere that is an 8 hour tear out just to reach. But we love this van and been thru so much with it, we don't want a new one (or to drive a touch screen computer) so in for a penny in for a pound...
This one was a blind box surprise with the parameters of: simple toony made with durability in mind, personality mildly snarly serious, done in these colors, and the species options were lizard, dragon, or feathered dinosaur. I went with a dragon that has some lizard and feathered dino essence.
Hey, so our workshop got broken into over the weekend. Most of what was stolen was just replaceable stuff, but one very precious mask was taken. Tierney's head has been stolen. If anyone sees this head anywhere, let us know immediately. Hoping against hope that we can bring her home.

I could use a nice tax write off so I'm staring at a brand new luxury sewing machine, but feeling guilty about the idea of spending such a huge amount on something even if it is for work, and does act as tax write off, and would make up for 18 years of using a refurbished machine made in the 90s...
