I wish people understood that TV writers: 1. *Have* actually thought more about this than even the most die hard fan. 2. Are beholden to time, money, and owner constraints that fans will never be aware of. 3. Are extremely likely to already be aware of any critiques because (see 1) but (see 2)

so true. and tbh, its not our job to babysit fandoms, or hold their hand through every single thing fans throw a fit over. if it’s something actually worth addressing (unintentional racism/sexism/etc) then sure. that’s worth having a convo over.
LRP: I know it’s pointless to say this online nowadays. Creatives from all over this industry are just begging for a degree of understanding and grace from an audience that increasingly won’t give it. What I want now is to ignore it. I’d like this to not be something we continue to validate.
