I don’t post often on this platform, but I figured it’s time I updated you all on my shenanigans… 🤔 After the Big Boy chase, I followed N&W 611 out of Staunton, VA. Then, I went to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in mid-July to see 1702 in action.

Visited a friend who has a Railway Series themed layout based on Thomas’ branchline terminus, Ffarquhar. There’s still some bits that are a work in progress, but it’s a lot of fun to run!

For the first time these past two weekends, I volunteered for an annual “Day Out With Thomas” event at SAM Shortline. 😊🚂 It’s been exhausting, but fun! 🎉

I posed with Thomas before the crowds arrived. Of course, I had to put a quote on my badge! 😉A look at Thomas with his train. One of the Heart of Georgia (HOG) Railroad diesels is on the other end to help with pulling and pushing the train.Families bring their kids up to take pictures with Sir Topham Hatt, the Controller of the Railway.The Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club had a few small layouts set up in the gift shop tent for people to enjoy after the train ride.

I haven’t posted here in a while, but I gave my Gauge 1 live steam engine “Mimi” a test run today. She has a valve timing issue to sort out, but I was glad to have her steaming again.

More Santa Train goodness in Pennsylvania and New Jersey! My first time visiting Woodstown Central and a last shot of snow at New Hope & Ivyland a few days before. 🚂🎄

New Hope & Ivyland 2-8-0 #40 (Built by Baldwin in December 1925 - 100 Years Old This Year!) stands with her train at the iconic “Witch Hat” station at New Hope, PA.#40 on the run-around siding at Lahaska, PA.Woodstown Central #9, a former U.S. Army 0-6-0 (Built by ALCO in 1942), sits at South Woodstown station with her train.Pausing between trips for a top up on water for her tender, #9 stands at South Woodstown station.
