MN House DFL Floor Leader; climate wonk.

I stand with Ilhan. Weaponizing the federal government to attack political enemies is an outrageous abuse of power. Once again, Trump is attacking Somali Americans and Minnesotans. Our best answer: vote against Trump candidates this fall.

When Minnesota tried to cap the cost of insulin, Lisa Demuth voted no — twice. My record is different: I stood up to Big Pharma and voted to cap insulin costs for seniors and led the successful effort to force pharma to negotiate prices with Medicare.

Trump's retribution campaign against MN included investigating progressive groups and unions for first amendment activity. This should appall Minnesotans of all backgrounds. Government surveillance to intimidate political opponents is un-American, plan and simple.

Every day, DFLers are working at the Capitol to lower costs for Minnesotans - even when it means standing up to corporate lobbyists, health insurance companies and Big Pharma. You deserve healthcare, childcare, housing, energy, and groceries you can afford. #mnleg

So, when can we expect the DOJ’s press conference announcing federal prosecutions for those who killed Alex Pretti or Renee Good, or who shot and injured Cesar Sosa-Celis?

The MN GOP opened their convention with a moment of silence for Derek Chauvin. Not for those we lost to gun violence. Not for soldiers killed overseas. To a literal convicted murderer. Disgusting.

We know what it’s like to have Lisa Demuth deny election results she doesn’t like. (And lose) When you build a whole party on election-denying, it’s really hard to have elections. Also, you end up attacking incredible, trusted elected officials like @Brad Tabke.

So… Trump sues himself. Settles with himself. And gives himself a $1.8B slush fund that he controls to hand out to his allies and convicted Jan 6 rioters? And we’re supposed to think the GOP takes fraud and fiscal responsibility seriously?

🚨APPALLING: Minnesota Republicans are literally hiding legislation in a desk drawer to prevent it from coming up for a vote. One of Speaker Lisa Demuth's deputies just admitted that he was "instructed not to report" a bill banning assault weapons/high-capacity magazines the Senate already passed.

SCOTUS continues to demolish our proudest civil rights achievements. It is now open season for states to gerrymander in favor of white voters and remove any minority representation. Shameful.
