New EHRC guidance is due today. Remember: ➡️ Early reports based on unattributed briefings are spin, not facts. ➡️ This is civil law around who can and cannot bring discrimination claims - not criminal law. ➡️ Whatever it says, it is a choice by this government. They can fix it. ➡️ We will keep going.

After new information through FOI that yet another Trust has stopped using Oxevision, we can now reveal that just 19 out of the 50 mental health Trusts are still using the system - well below the 50% that Oxehealth (now LIO) once boasted!

On 26th November 2025, the Government released its Autumn Budget. Instead of announcing more large-scale welfare cuts for Disabled people, this budget begins a slower process. It is a death by a thousand cuts. Read NSUN's response to the Autumn Budget. www.nsun.org.uk/news/nsun-re...

BREAKING: An NHS Trust has been forced to admit the potential misuse of surveillance technology Oxevision (now “LIO”) in psychiatric inpatient bedrooms at the Lampard Inquiry this week. NSUN is calling on all trusts to suspend use of Oxevision immediately.

Over the past weeks we have witnessed the Government's increased anti-migration rhetoric and failure to denounce far-right violence. Migration is not a crime, and at NSUN, migrant justice will always be a mental health issue. www.nsun.org.uk/news/migrati...

Migration and mental health: why we won’t stop talking about it

We have an inadequate welfare system, overwhelmed mental health services and a broken asylum system for the same reason: political choice.

Yesterday, the Government rushed through the newly titled Universal Credit Bill – enacting their planned cuts to Universal Credit for new claimants from 2026/7. The Bill will now progress to the House of Lords, where it will face reduced scrutiny. We are devastated 🧵(1/4).

So pleased to see this piece out in the world and am touched to have been interviewed as part of it. It tenderly outlines the entanglements of police and policing in mental health services. Written by ‪@rebeccamarie.bsky.social‬ national.thelead.uk/p/theyre-jus...

"We as the mental health sector have a responsibility to call out this logic, rejecting the ways transness is constructed as a mental health problem and resisting psychological therapies being used as a new form of conversion therapy."
