I don’t see ‘taxonomists’ or anyone organismal on this list of biodiversity collaborators

We are entering a new era of biodiversity measurement 🧬 eDNA from water, soil, and air 🧬 Reference genomes at scale 🤖 AI image and acoustic monitoring 🛰️ High-resolution satellite sensing 📱 Billions of citizen science records 🚀 The opportunity is extraordinary — if we build the right systems. 🌍

Aerial view of a winding river cutting through dense green forest. Overlaid text reads: “Technology alone is not enough. We must: • Integrate data across sources • Standardize monitoring methods globally • Calibrate new tools with historical data • Fill tropical and taxonomic data gaps • Protect databases from AI-generated misinformation • Value biodiversity data generation • Respectfully incorporate Indigenous Knowledge • Measure conservation effectiveness • Build resilient global biodiversity datasets” A white arrow in the bottom right corner indicates the next slide.
