I always get worried when Restore start making a list…

Labour Member of Parliament for Gillingham & Rainham
Whereas I had the security of a council flat, kids in poverty today are growing up in temporary accommodation. I’ve been in Gillingham with @naushabahkhanmp.bsky.social, speaking to families who’ve been failed by the housing crisis. Kids need homes, not hostels.
Meanwhile, I'm still reeling from the fact that Richard Tice can't find it in him to condemn someone for saying that Nigerians should be melted down to fill potholes.
Carrom Board at Eid this year, Nick Timothy and Sarah Pochin probably think it’s an act of war 🙄
Today, I asked the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation &Tech about Reform’s dangerous plan to repeal the Online Safety Act & remove vital protections If you would like to share your thoughts on the proposed social media ban for under-16s, you can write in to naushabah.khan.mp@parliament.uk
Great to host a #GoogleDigitalGarage at Priestfield Stadium today! Welcoming local businesses for workshops, networking & one-to-one mentoring with Google’s Coaches Thanks to Google for delivering sessions & to everyone who came along & shared how their businesses are adapting in a digital world
When the Tories shout ‘taxpayers money’ while shaking their heads in response to free breakfast clubs for the most disadvantaged children - says it all #pmqs
❗Following the recent and regular closures on the Lower Rainham Road, I have organised a meeting to ensure local residents can share their concerns and have their voices heard. 📩If you would like to attend, please RSVP by contacting naushabah.khan.mp@parliament.uk 👉🏾Details are attached.
Donald Trump’s comments on our brave military and armed forces are disgraceful and he should apologise. 457 British service men and women were killed in Afghanistan, the second highest number of military deaths during the conflict, while thousands were injured in the line of duty. (1/2)
.@NadhimZahawi previously said he'd be "frightened to live in a country" run by @NigelFarage. But, to be fair, that was before he was sacked as Tory chair for failing to declare a serious HMRC investigation into his tax affairs. The political circus never disappoints!
My office has processed 8,195 cases since I became the MP for Gillingham and Rainham 🎄Our office will be closing for a period over the Christmas Holidays. We will only respond to urgent cases. ✍🏾 If you have an issue that I can help with, please contact me at Naushabah.khan.mp@parliament.uk
This week I’ve been: 🚧Tackling local road closures 📚Visiting local primary schools 🇬🇧Backing our RAF 🧱Discussing how we renovate derelict buildings in our community
This week I’ve been: ✅Working to secure fairer local funding 🇬🇧Visiting RAF Brize Norton 🎄Switching on Christmas lights
🎄What a joy it was to join in the Christmas fun, at Hempstead Fayre this evening. 🎅🏽 It was wonderful to hear carols from the choir and to meet the brilliant winners of the Flying Saucer writing competition, who shared their winning stories. #christmas #hempstead #gillinghandrainham
I'm determined to improve Gillingham Town Centre. ✍🏾Read my recent letter to the Minister for Devolution, Faith and Communities, Miatta Fahnbulleh MP, about the specific support required to boost our high street.
🪂Testing out the parachute training with the Airborne Delivery Wing at Brize Norton. It’s higher than it looks, I promise!
The old funding model left Medway, under real pressure Now the Government is fixing that with a fairer system that focuses on local needs & tackles deprivation This is our chance to secure the funding our community deserves. I’m fighting hard to make sure our voice is heard loud & clear
It's been a long time coming...today we are reconnecting council funding with deprivation -> www.gov.uk/government/n...
Tackling deprivation and reversing years of unfair council funding
Outdated funding formulas that penalised deprived areas for decades are being scrapped, so local people finally get the vital public services they deserve.

This week I've been: 🤝🏾Meeting with residents to tackle the rapid increase in HMOs ⭐️Celebrating Medway's hardworking local leaders ☑️Working with residents in Parkwood to tackle flooding 🎄Attending the Rainham Christmas Lights switch on
Gillingham is a community, not a get rich quick scheme 👉🏾I’m not opposed to all HMOs, but we need to manage the numbers through tougher local regulation ❌@property_apprentice view of Gillingham as a cash cow is damaging and wrong ✅We need an Article 4 Direction to get a grip on this issue
This week I’ve been: 🌹Paying tribute to our armed forces 🏠Pushing for further regulation on HMOs 📣Chairing the Gillingham Taskforce 🤝🏽Hosting multiple surgeries speaking to residents
Thank you to the Chancellor for welcoming local Medway businesses to Number 11 Downing Street yesterday. I was delighted to be joined by Lenis Yiangou, who owns, family-run restaurant, Ela Kendro, serving up delicious Greek food in Gillingham.
On Armistice Day, we remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice & honour all those who defended our country and fought for our freedom. Today I observed a two minute silence & attended a special service at the #HistoricalDockyardChatham
Three generations of my family are buried in Chatham Cemetery, and I was born, raised and educated locally. I am British through and through 🇬🇧 So why is my #identity constantly questioned? Read more in my recent @KentOnline article www.kentonline.co.uk/kent/news/sl...
‘Slowly but surely, we have been effectively boiled like frogs in a pot of hate…’
In her first KentOnline column, Gillingham and Rainham MP Naushabah Khan says the immigration debate is taking a sinister turn.

This week I've been: ✅Securing stronger rental rights 🏠Backing new homes for our military 🚫Opposing exploitative working practices 🌹Honouring our fallen heroes
It was an honour to lay a wreath in honour of those who gave so much for our country. A moving moment to stand with our community, reflecting on the courage and sacrifice of all who served, & continue to serve, for our freedom. We will remember them 🌹
❗I don’t oppose the existence of #HMOs. They play a vital role in #housing students, key workers, and professionals priced out of other options. 👉🏾But when too many pop up too fast in one area, without thought for #community balance, issues follow. And people are right to be concerned.
