Just helping with editing here. These bots aren’t sentient. They’re doing what they’re programmed to do. OpenAI, a private company supposedly bound by laws, committed federal crimes.

Man oh man, Stonetop is a remarkable game (TTRPG). Haven't played it yet, but I am completely obsessed with the deep and detailed world, and the system is brilliant. It's one of those games you can just buy and read and be completely satisfied—but of course I can't wait to get it to the table.

It's too depressing and obnoxious to write about, but virtually all of the doomy/horny AI hyperventilating is transparently displaced anxiety about our fucked climate and political situation. Even rich idiots know it's bad and being permitted to get worse. They're trying to write their own ending.

Baltimore/DC/VA friends, due to popular demand, I'm now doing TWO nights of "An Evening of Witchcraft," my lecture/experiential show at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17. This is a really fun, interactive show that you won't want to miss. More deets soon!

I’ve seen some people making comments about not caring about the Kennedy Center, or even wanting it gone, and if you’re not local, maybe sit this one out. It may be an abstraction to you, but to me it’s where I want to take my kids someday to see the symphony, the ballet, touring shows, etc

“It is what it is, and it ain't nothin' else. ... One might not think of light as a matter of fact, but I do. And it is, as I said, as plain and open and direct an art as you will ever find.” —Dan Flavin, 1965 SFMOMA
