I was taking the idea halfway seriously (which I probably shouldn't) and thinking about how to do a transmountain diversion from the Mississippi Basin to the Colorado Basin. Which would be the only even half way viable option from an engineering point of view.
Agree. It would be so dumb from a water law POv because the western side of the Mississippi watershed is equally dry and the water is spoken for by all sorts of users.
The lifting costs for pumping would be prohibitive. #ColoradoRiver #COriver #aridification
