New Genetic Study Reveals Late Neanderthals in Northwestern Europe Were More Connected Than Previously Thought! 🧬 Researchers from Ghent University are part of an international team that has generated genetic data from 27 late Neanderthals from Belgium and France 👉 www.nature.com/articles/s41...
Ancient #DNA on #cave walls. Human DNA can survive there for millennia & provide insights into prehistoric human activities, even w/o excavations. New study @natcomms.nature.com by an intl. research team led by Alba Bossoms Mesa & Matthias Meyer. tinyurl.com/3bw7ejzs & www.nature.com/articles/s41...
The Research Afternoon of the Department was again a big succes! Bringing together topics ranging from the paleoclimate in Bronze Age Belgium, Byzantine mosaics in Carthage, pottery from Cyprus and landscape evolution in Flanders. Food for thought and stimulating conversations!
