The way complete strangers openly support people they don't know versus the people who know someone with goals don't openly support the people they actually know is a phenomenon that needs to be studied.

It costs nothing to be cool to others in the horror industry, in podcasting, anywhere. It isn't an expectation to make friends with everyone, but at the very least, being not-a-jerk to others is a great start.
