WIP Terrain progress. Looking at it, I realise this is probably good enough, but I will be doing more work on it before I call it done.

This is both sad and happy news - hopefully they allocated enough for us for the FOMO box
Sometimes hobby is about paperwork to make playing easier. All the faction Strats for my EC list while I’m learning how things play. Locally the sleeves will be unique for easy identification as well.
While I only cut out terrain templates for hobby today I am excited that these old metal space elves arrived. (The Rangers are newer than my og ones, but will be fine with them.) This gives me 10 “Storm Guardians”, a Farseer that fits with the Exodites and 10 metal Rangers.
With this I’m finished rebasing all my painted Slaanesh that I need for my list. Now I just need to paint the other half of the list.
Just some more rebasing tonight. Need to rebase the endless spells and 10 Painbringers then paint 10 more, 5 Blissbarb Seekers, an Entrapturess and a Lord Hysteria to get my list fully painted.
Seeing other people’s painted ogres when we haven’t even been able to pre-order it here yet makes me jealous.
First terrain bit done which sorted the process.
WIP Base and metals to do on this boss. I’ve also started working on the table of terrain, hopefully that will not take too long and I’ll have a simple process for it.
And with this I have finished building half a table of terrain. Now to start on the other half.
A lot of people struggle to get through painting these big Warhammer boxes, so here are some tips from me, a person who hates batch painting but gets through them regularly...
Not painting, but 10 more Daemonettes rebased. Just 10 more to go.
No painting today. Took the Chorfs out again. Still haven’t finished a game, but things are coming back and I made less bad choices.
Not a lot of painting in the last 24 hours (the ork had 1 little bit of colour on the banner), but lots of assembly and prep was done. Just 1 more bit to assemble for half a table’s worth. It goes together well and I didn’t glue the various ruin corners. So they could be packed flat. #wh40k
Finally did some painting again. Just some small details and the base to do now. Motivation to pick up Fulgrim and tackle some more of him is returning as well.
I know I need to finish my EC, but right now Aeldari have to get built. I should just build one more scout to have 10, then I can move on to other things. (Or I should source 2 more old metal ones and have 20…)
Some assembly got done. Then the rules update and points change happened and now I need to build and paint the Infractors I have. Then I can go back to building Aeldari.
No painting tonight as I took the Chorfs out for a spin.
There’s something important missing from the starter set that’s present in the terrain box. The rulebook should be a QR code to an up to date PDF or web page.
Restarted with a brighter red and in broad strokes it is looking how I wanted it to be now. This is very early but enough of the colours are there to give me faith that now I can just “trust the process” (once I figure some bits of it out)
Started adding colour to the Dark Reapers and not liking the effect, so time to reprime and start again. *sigh*
WIP making good progress on him, skin and then chasing down details to do.
My painboy has those trendy new blue scrubs. First “model” from Armageddon all done. #wh40k #orks #WarhammerCommunity #miniaturepainting
I should do something creative and funny for the 666th post, but nah…
No painting, but I did argue this into existence to sit in the painting queue (& possibly jump it). The goblins are not glued on for painting ease.
Made some progress on Fulgrim. All the gold base is done and a pass on his weapons has been made.
