You know that feeling when you read something and afterward you're stunned by the craft? That is Clive Barker's "In the Hills, the Cities." Everyone should read it, though be warned, it may make you never want to see your own writing again (no offense, speaking from my own feelings of inadequacy).

As a teen, all my various identities made me feel like a phony. Like I didn't know or have a real me. As an adult, how lucky (in the paraphrased words of Walt Whitman) am I to contain multitudes?
