I think it is more important than ever when promoting your books, journals, magazines, what have you, to be very vocal and upfront about the cover artist. I love publisher's websites that include that info in the description or some other easy to find location. I don't enjoy having to speculate :(
There are so many reasons why everyone should go and see Coyote vs Acme: it was in jail, it has 2d animation, etc. But you should definitely go and see it because it's a call to action to the working class and it calls out big companies

I see this a lot in my editing projects! I fix each one for you as an editor, but this is also easy to do in your self-editing passes. Tip: you can search for ," or ." with the find tool and go through and check.

I wish people understood that if you use gen ai in ANY step of the creative process, it poisons the well. Completely. No, I don't care that you used it "just to organize ideas" or that you translated it with ai "but then reviewed everything yourself." It ruins it from the start. It's poisoned.
Still some spots open for custom digital drawings this weekend, if anyone is interested. So far, the requests have all been for characters I've never drawn before (and only one direct comic book character), which is always a lot of fun for me!
