Professor Cecilia Soderberg-Naucler, one of MediCity’s group leaders, shares her insights in a recent interview with Aurora online. Cecilia believes that cancer is something other than the genetic disease it is commonly thought to be. She thinks that the root cause of cancer lies in metabolism.

A multicentre study led by Finland has shown that lymph node transfer is a viable treatment for swelling in the affected limb, a condition known as #lymphedema, after #BreastCancer surgery. The study found that the surgery significantly improved women's quality of life. @europeancancer.bsky.social

Pre-print of another great collaboration at Medicity: Reserachers have profiled lymphatic vasculatures in lymph nodes from breast cancer patients using scRNA-seq. LN metastases dramatically reshape these vasculatures, generating abnormal subsets, and further promoting cancer metastases!
