One particular thing that irks me about generative AI is that it affects my ability to enjoy non-AI art as well. It feels like I have to approach certain art styles with a level of scrutiny that is tiresome and makes me not really want to engage with them, which is just sad.
I'm participating in Inktober with friends this year and honestly, containing it within that closed circle makes it so chill! I'd stopped trying for several years, bc in the past I would upload everything and it'd make me pressure myself to get them to a certain level that wasn't sustainable for me.
