I'm surprised how much of a JRPG Fortune's Weave is, and wonder if it's gonna disappoint hardcore Fire Emblem fans. I feel like I've spent a lot more time running about and chatting, as well as doing traditional dungeon crawling, than turn based battles

God I'm so hyped to get stuck into Fire Emblem. It seems so *ambitious*, both in terms of narrative and gameplay, and it's way less subtle about its ties to Three Houses than I was expecting

All These Things That I've Done by The Killers came on the radio in the car earlier and man, I think now some time has passed they might be the best of those big mainstream indie bands from the mid to late 2000s. Mr Brightside being their biggest hit doesn't do them justice really

Remembered I owned these after finding them during a de cluttering session last weekend. I think they've been out of print for a long while too. Hadn't watched any of these in what feels like forever and it's been quite a trip down several decades of music culture lane the last couple of nights.

ICYMI I started a Patreon for _nsigned where supporters can have custom artist pages and use a little embedded Bandcamp player throughout the site. It was quite fun building this stuff because Patreon's not really designed for website stuff. Last time I did it was for the old Digital Foundry site!

I think "soulslike" is maybe the worst genre, not because the games are bad necessarily but because no-one can agree on what actually counts as a soulslike, and most of the games that get that label aren't really that much like Dark Souls

The creative direction they took with Resident Evil for the Game Boy Color feels absolutely batshit to me. I imagine preserving the fixed camera from the PS1 game instead of just doing a top down view or something caused so many headaches! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxzv...

hard to believe when I started Doing Internet Professionally, we'd tell folks we were making educational videos and they'd be like ... "on the thing for pictures of cats and videos of people falling down?" now every app is full to the brim of people trying to explain shit to me.
