Today, the Arlington County Board celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with ALIANZA. The program featured remarks from County leadership, a keynote from APS Superintendent Dr. Francisco Durán and a dance performance honoring Hispanic and Latino heritage.
Hispanic Heritage Month is observed September 15th through October 15th. The Arlington County Board Office joins communities across the country in recognizing the history, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino residents and their lasting impact on our community.
The Arlington County Board recognized September 14th thru 18th as Disability Voting Rights Week, highlighting the importance of accessible civic participation and REV UP Virginia’s work to strengthen the voices of voters with disabilities. Make a plan to vote and spread the word.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001. We remember the lives lost at the Pentagon, in New York, and in Pennsylvania, and honor the first responders, public servants, and community members whose courage and service carried our nation through an unimaginable day.
