Found this absolute gem in the heart of London - St Etheldreda’s Church! Crypt & fabric date from mid thirteenth-century. Was chapel to the palace of the bishops of Ely, hence dedicated to their seventh-century founder Etheldreda. What other medieval marvels am I missing when I visit the capital??

I have immersed myself in the book #Legenda by @drjaninaramirez.bsky.social . Fascinating and readable. I am somewhat appalled by my ignorance of certain early modern European history, especially of Greece.
So kind of Paul to write this, put it in an envelope, stick on a stamp & send it to me. Moments like this make everything feel worth it. If you admire someone’s work, their book, their programme, tell them. It’s easy to spread hate. Love takes effort!!! ❤️❤️❤️
