July 2023, the Ottawa Senators signed G Joonas Korpisalo to a 5 year, $20M contract. After one bad year, they traded him and a 1st to fix it and get Linus Ullmark. They're in the playoffs. The Sabres signed UPL for 5 years, $23.5M one year ago. Go find your Ullmark equivalent.

If you buyout Mattias Samuelsson this offseason, it’s $714k per year for 10 years. If you wait a year, it becomes $1.4M per year for 8 years. This should be an easy decision.
The Bills didn't trust him clearly for three years, but the numbers overall are pretty good for Elam in his 12 starts. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns his career around in a system more suited for his skills.

I love how hockey media just does not care what position they list a player as. ESPN puts a Jeff Skinner graphic up, what position does it say? Center. What does Hockey-Reference + NHL.com say? Center. I can’t say in 15 years I have ever seen Skinner play center.
