AEFP’s year-round programming brings the community together beyond the Annual Conference through webinars on timely education finance and policy topics, professional development, and more. Past webinars have covered topics such as AI in education, outcomes-based contracting, navigating the job market, and applying to dissertation fellowships. This form is for members who would like to help shape our programming for the 2026–27 academic year. Whether you have an idea you’d like to lead yourself, or a topic you’d love to see AEFP take on, we want to hear from you! Priority deadline: Monday, August 17, 2026. The EdExchange at the Annenberg Institute invites researchers, education leaders, policymakers, funders, and journalists to a conversation with the authors of critical new research on student attendance. In this webinar, researchers will describe the attendance effects of immigration enforcement actions and practical strategies schools are using to improve attendance and build trust with families. Andrew Camp and his team will share findings from “Immigration Enforcement Actions and Empty Desks: Persistent and Acute Attendance Effects” and Jeremy Singer and his team will present analyses from “What are schools doing to improve attendance? Evidence from Michigan and Georgia.” Webinar attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the researchers during the Q&A session.
