Donzoko

A lovely brewery and taproom in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Donzoko.org

Last night's Keller Bier launch at Donzoko was excellent - a fantastic quaffer, malty and bitter, banked in true Teeside style. And as a bonus, a new pale ale collab with Fourman, absolutely loaded with Galaxy hops giving it an almost kerosene edge. (IYKYK) Again, very easy drinking.

An orange beer can with a black crow logo, and a glass of pale ale with a BIG FOAM logo.A banked pint of Donzoko Keller bier, a malty, bitter but very sessionable new lager. On a wooden bar top with a brass beer engine and tiled pump clip behind it.

Lot of people asking where they can get Keller outside of the north east, to which we say you can't! Hop on a train, come to Newcastle, have a fun, local beer experience.

✨🟩Keller🟩✨ our one and only cask beer. Permanently, and exclusively, brewed for the Pubs of Newcastle. Keller is a delicious Keller lager. Malty, bitter, and endlessly drinkable. Featuring a different hop each month from our friends at Locher farm in Germany. Keller - A Beer You Can Bank On

We have re-brewed our Koji rice lager. "Donmai" collaboration with Minoh beer in Osaka, with some tweaks to the koji process below. It is rice, malt and noble hops, but tastes like tinned peaches and cream. I don't think ive ever been so excited for one of our beers. More as it develops x

I’m not usually a great fan of tap rooms. Fortunately, I’m only 5 mins from the Donzoko one. The giant red curtain does a good job of deadening the sound. Horrible sound is what puts me off most taprooms.

CELLARS is a 6.2% bock, brewed with "Most" hops. It tastes like strawberries hay and honey. It's usually a taproom exclusive but I have decided to release it wider.

HEARTWOOD is a 5.5% west coast pale, rippingly bitter, but contrasted with new, fruitier varieties of hops, namely Strata and Alora. Big melony strawberry, then a rip of pine sap bitterness, a pint of two halves. 🪵🌲🍺
