I wish the PM would consider living in the world we have instead of the world he wishes we had. We live in a world where fossil energy expansion increases carbon emissions, that increases temperatures, that increases people dying in climate-related events. No more pipelines!

Meanwhile governments with fossil energy want to get that money out of the ground and burned up as soon as possible, hoping no one will notice the crime until they are gone.

The NDP locked BC into billions in LNG subsidies. What did we get? Few long term jobs, mostly low wage. Profits shipped offshore. Climate targets gone. Clean tech innovation underfunded while yesterday's industry gets billions. You can't easily remove a bad commitment. It's true for gas everywhere.

As the elders have told us, water is life. Here in BC, we have a gas industry, heavily subsidized by taxpayers, that is sucking the life out of northern communities. The government is apparently addicted to this relationship. What will our grandchildren say about this when they are grown?
