I got to experience the Yayoi Kusama "Let's Survive Forever" installation in 2022. I'd loved her art for ages, and I was excited, but I didn't expect to feel all the things I felt when I was actually in there. I was crying and didn't even realize it by the time I walked out. RIP to a real one.

Woo queuing for two hours in a line in our cars the parking gates open!!! Woooo!!!! Time to grind out some more CM18 ace runs I guess.

Oh White River Ampitheater. Worst to ever do it. Don't ever change. An absolute institution of live music wtf-ery

Every Muse fan before every NA tour stop this year (I'm convinced they're saving The Sickness in You and I, arguably the best song on the album and more demonstrably the fan favorite, for Europe)

My shopping and to-do list right now looks like I'm gearing up for a long hike. But no; outdoor concert and pit queue in August.

Ducky's lab results are looking great, we go back in three weeks to check on the phenobarbital levels again and make sure everything is cruising along well. Little guy's getting bolder now that he's getting used to the medication, but his back legs are still shaky. An absolute bastard of a combo.

Sometimes scrolling Reddit pisses me off just as much as scrolling Twitter used to, bc I can't control when someone posts something stupid on my otherwise well curated home feed. But then, magically, sometimes I laugh so hard I can't breathe that a cat is named Amoxicillin.

It's coming up on the 30th anniversary (!!!) of my favorite album of all time: New Adventures in Hi-Fi by REM. The recording process is fascinating to me (recorded largely while on tour using 8 tracks to capture the live sound). It's their last Bill Berry album. It's just monumentally good.

I've been super quiet since getting Duck back from the ER because frankly, it's been a tense couple of days. There have been some complications, but I think we're on a good track. We've progressed to "getting in and out of litter box by himself" as of tonight, at least! He's adopted this shoebox.

It's my Duck in a box.

Duck is a cat.

Not to be an adult coloring book person, but if alcohol markers had been this accessible when I was a young artist, I might have turned out at least 20% less ruined by mentally illness

He doesn't know why his brother is acting so weird and smells so weird and why I have to feed them separately (it's because I've gotta shove a pill in Duck's mouth twice a day now 😵‍💫

At the emergency vet with Duck. Send some love for the little goober, he's had about four seizures today and I'm significantly more worried than I've been in a while for him.

This CM is so unserious. The addition of Ms Victoria makes the XOguri domination even funnier. (I won, but in Grade B. Alas.)

Just in case I get hit by a Cybertruk* tomorrow, I want to share a bit of writing from the intro to the Year Zero video that I'm giddily proud of. It's the final sentence of this paragraph. Sometimes this one sentence is all the motivation I need to keep working on this thing.

"The vision of internet society in the early 2000's was one of equal opportunity. It was myopic too - an egalitarian internet was still an internet of exclusion for anyone without access to, and/or literacy of, technology. To say nothing of rampant casual bigotry amongst the most vocal throngs reveling in the newfound thrill of anonymity, and perceived freedom from consequences of airing out their foul nature. But the conceit was an egalitarian Library of Alexandria in which that equality - and here is the transformative part - was for the content of the form. A Gutenberg printing press with low barrier for access and a relatively nonexistent barrier for use, for distribution. Where my extremely 1998 X-Files fanpage built in pure HTML on Lycos.com was just as accessible as the nascent cultural phenomenon that was youtube.com, everything connected by a web - hence the name - of bulletin boards and forums and RSS feeds and webrings and, by 2007, a hubristic shared assumption that this was the architecture we'd be working within for the foreseeable future. We proceeded to build monuments with no foundation atop a digital liquefaction zone we didn't even comprehend yet, largely not caring whether the earthquake ever came. "

Yaaay I faced a work-related fear (remotely onboarding a customer on a feature I've always been, frankly, spooked by, which is always onboarded in person, and which carries the risk of being very expensive if it goes wrong), and it went swimmingly. Yippee!!

Look, I don't want the responsibility, neither financially nor practically, of owning a home at my age/single status. But I'd love the space to build things. A catio. My own version of a Dreamb*x cabinet that's not $5000 and ugly.

I pulled out my old Blackberry Bold (my phone circa 2008-2011) and powered it up to remember what it's like to have a device with pleasant ergonomics. The Twitter app opens up to a time capsule of my home feed (5s ago!) featuring @asterionhex.monster jfc. Time is meaningless, everyone!

“I better not write this thing I love, or else jerks might interpret it the worst way possible—” Fun fact: if you ever hear this voice, you are legally allowed to beat it to death with mental hammers.

Maybe I like Oguri Cap. Maybe she's also the de facto CM Ace lately, so I spam her runs. Maybe I'm 90% of the way to the "Oguri Cap Expert" title.

v1.130 is live! Want to follow someone for their posts but not their reposts? Now you can — turn on "Hide reposts in feeds" for any account you follow.

A screenshot demonstrating how to hide reposts from an individual user: Go to their profile, tap the three-dot icon at top right, and select "Hide reposts in feeds" from the drop-down menu.

I memory holed what a pain in the ass it is to train Silence Suzuka because she has like... three races scheduled before Senior year. I keep forgetting to actually do extra races then wind up at the end with unique skill Lvl 2 like 😮

Round 1 of CM17 was wild. I didn't need to worry as much as I did for Round 1 at least, I walked out with a 60% win rate. Funniest part was when my two (Dirt S, I should note) debuffers took the podium. Now, to get my ass handed to me in Group A Round 2 ✌️😘
