I love the way Toby firmly yet kindly addressed the most virulent criticisms of pacing and "no answers" in the Summer newsletter. I, personally, haven't had these criticisms, because I understand I'm experiencing chapters of a larger narrative that doesn't need to be paced like a TV show.

Technicaliy the first console in my house was the Atari 2600 and technically the first game I played was Adventure. I was FAR too young for that to have had significantly impact tho. My real first console was the NES, first game Super Mario Bros. First non-pack-in game was Fester's Quest.

Think I'll put together a (breathable, danceable) Baddie Noelle cosplay for the ARTMS show. The lyrics of Born Stunner plus the blonde/red eyes, angel in white aesthetic of the lore has been screaming Noelle to me from Day One.

If I really like a K-Pop MV I usually like to watch reaction videos about it, but I'm not thrilled by the prospect of how much "what did I just watch" type shit I'd have to endure if I sought out reactions to Born Stunner.

There's some great stuff going on in the overarching ARTMS lore. It's deeply spooky and seems to actually have something to say about idol culture. Born Stunner demands a frame-by-frame viewing. I'm especially intrigued by the "Goddess Hatching from a Gacha Ball" imagery.

The Terror (2018 AMC) If you give me a chance I'll never shut up about how well done every aspect of that production is. Dave K and Soo Hugh took a good book with a historical foundation then found themes, polished the characters, commanded elements the book could not, improved every aspect imo.
