I've been working on a level editor mod for Baby Steps called Baby Blocks over the past month or so, it's a few days out from releasing along with some awesome levels made by friends. I've even got collaborative editing with the multiplayer mod! It's my last project before serving a two year mission

New update for the Baby Steps Multiplayer Mod! Steam networking means you can easily host your own lobbies and invite your friends. This is pretty experimental, so please let me know what issues you come across! Check it out on GitHub or Thunderstore. Level Editor peeks coming soon.

Does anyone have recommendations for text adventure games that are more than a choose your own adventure book, that do some interesting game-y things? I can't find a good compendium of them like Roguebasin for roguelikes

I loved playing Oeuf, its levels play a lot more with the geometry of the egg shape than you'd think possible and it's perfect at building suspense and then releasing it. The music is great and the game feels very mysterious. The level editor is lots of fun and multiplayer is well implemented!

A favorite evening past time of mine recently is joining multiplayer to stalk from a distance and using fly cam to make them look like ants. It's strangely endearing seeing a gaggle of Nates fumbling up the mountain using each other for support.

It's been really cold so I haven't gone on a walk in a good bit. Very snotty and teary walk, but got some decent photos. My favorite big tree by a stream was out in the open with all of the leaves missing, so I didn't visit it.

New Baby Steps Multiplayer Mod update with lots of fixes and new features! Mainly water wheels are now synced up and servers can use webhooks now to let others know someone is online. Various proximity chat network performance tweaks too. github.com/caleborchard...

@ohheyitsjeffm.bsky.social describes how I feel about Baby Steps amazingly in this video, I've never been able to word it but Gabe and Bennett have heard much from me how it's changed my whole perspective on games. Everything about it is beautiful, every aspect contributes to its artfulness.
