It was the driest July on record at Kew since 1800 [caveat of likely a variety of different station placements since then], which also recorded no measurable rainfall - very impressive for the area. Local records go back to 1697.
Just jumped through the annual HRT gatekeeping hoops. I forget how much this annoys me every year, particularly as I am prone to leaving it late and then worrying that I'll run out before I get "approved" by the practice nurse. And their questionnaire sucks...
