I just recently watched Nightbreed for the first time, and just... oh wow. That movie did things to my brain I was not expecting. I'm not really sure how I avoided it for so long, and I'm not sure if I'm sad I did, or if I'm ecstatic I finally saw it when my brain was ready for it.

This game looks really amusing, and has some incredible contributors. The premise is cute, and I can't wait to get it to the table with my family. It's quite close to funding, and it blows my mind it hasn't already. So, uh, maybe some folks can help fix that?

Kelly - Back Sage Council, ending soon!@kellywhyte.bsky.social · 5d ago

Our campaign for Sage Council is in its final week, and we're 90% funded! Help us cross the line and get a great #ttrpg about councilors, corruption and complete chaos! www.kickstarter.com/projects/lot... #kiwirpg #fantasy

I picked up a physical copy of this game at PAX from Indiepocalypse, and I cannot wait to play more of it. It's weird, inventive, and something like comfy (?) in all the best ways. I will definitely be throwing this on in the background the next time I play some more.

In case you want to start your week off with a six hour dive into Purgatory Dungeoneer's 420 different characters and a tier list that covers all of them, that sure is an option for you (script and game in the description if you aren't watching all that) www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIay...

I've been trying to do a post a day, but I'm running out of day rapidly and haven't written a post yet. I just had a great Wednesday night #ttrpg session, so rather than the other dives I've been doing, I want to talk about low effort sessions in a trad game.

Back when I was talking about Space Heroes & Other Fools, I got a bit distracted... Sorry. So lets talk a little more about Julia Ecklar. She didn't just write/perform great songs (you did go listen to The Dark is Rising, right?). #filk

For the next part of the #ttrpg design of this weird Drakengard game, we're going to pull a 180 and see what to do about Aerial Missions. Events are barely gameplay and lots of story, Cutscenes are all story, Ground Missions involve bouncing around a map, but Aerial Missions are a Different Thing.

You know, maybe this is what I should have talked about in Drakengard first - the pact relationship. This is the part of the game that made me go, "Wow! This isn't just a Dynasty Warriors from Squeenix."

We have a decent chunk of local wildlife and some folks that let their cats outdoors, so occasionally we'll find evidence that critters met a grisly fate. I didn't think we had local wild hedgehogs, though...
