The "World Parks Congress" only happens every ten years or so. The last one was in Sydney, Australia in 2014. Planning has begun in earnest for the next one taking place in Panama in September 2027. WCPA's CCSG is going to be very involved, and one of the three main themes is global change. 🌎

Two #IPCC workshops, Engaging Diverse Knowledge Systems & Methods of Assessment, opened at the @uniofreading.bsky.social today. Over the next 3 days, 90 experts will discuss & produce guidance for the #IPCC leadership and authors working on IPCC's Seventh Assessment Report.

This is an area that WCPA's Climate Change Specialist Group is interested in because of the implications for effectiveness and management of protected areas.
