When a leader in an authoritarian regime - or one leaning that direction - purges general officers and the subordinates who merely worked for them, that seems concerning. After reading through a kid’s Bible at bedtime over a few weeks, my son asked to read the unabridged version. We got the International Children’s Bible, because it’s written at an elementary level. We just wrapped up Genesis 34 and now I remember why abridged kids bibles are a thing.
