Yesterdays rabbit hole led me to find probably one of the strangest piece of official Flareon art. I can't understand the text underneath, but I'm assuming Wartortle is using Bite on Flareon's tail. It doesn't really seem like its effective. And then they edited it afterward to remove Wartortle...
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Mario's fighter persona in the Glitz Pit is "The Great Gonzales", whose title is "The Merciless Executioner". This is actually toned down from the original Japanese version, where Mario's title is "The Executioner from Hell".
