Today my husband’s beautiful grandmother passed, aged 99 She was in her warm bed, with her daughters and grandson holding her hands, listen to a video of her two great granddaughters laughing and playing. Afforded the opportunity for family to say goodbye, that’s the difference. 👋🏼
I remember being referred to as an “idiot” when I announced I was doing C2S. I raised thousands of dollars for the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation that year. I’d do it all again! Fun fact: The individual who made this comment, can barely waddle to the fridge because she’s so unhealthy. 👋🏼

Today we got to celebrate an early Mother’s Day with my beautiful Mum, watching our big girl play football, exchanging gifts and then a lovely lunch down at the local pub xx Tonight we have a toast to my Brother’s wonderful late father in law who passed from cancer last year x
I put my arm around him, looked into his eyes and told him: This is normal. This is what it feels like to be part of a loving family. I’m so lucky to have these extraordinary humans in my life and @leighlo.bsky.social is the luckiest to have them too xx
Today we surprised my beautiful Aunt with a birthday party organized by my wonderful cousins. During speeches, my husband commented quietly that the amount of love and warmth is something he is still not used to, that family being nice to each other wasn’t normal….
My own uncle, no physical relation to @leighlo.bsky.social has sent him a card in the post to pass on his condolences for the loss of his father. This family, this is love and I’m so grateful for these wonderful people who continue to love and support my Leighlo, unconditionally x
I just read that actor Sam Neil, one of my favourite actors, has announced that after going on a new treatment clinical trial for what looked to be his terminal cancer, he is now cancer free! Great news.
