we have the first results of "AI and Political Theory: Exploring Argument Mining for Normative Research—A Political Theorist's Perspective (or: on identifying patterns and structures)." comparing argument mining of AI and the human coder.
Tomorrow I begin my term as Head of the Department of Political Studies at Bar-Ilan University. Grateful to Jonathan Rynhold, the outgoing chair, for his dedicated service. Looking forward to a fascinating and challenging term ahead, and to working together with our outstanding faculty and staff.

one of the challenges of writing a methods monograph, is that each chapter explores a different topic; but often shares other preliminary assumptions with other chapters; I'm pretty sure a given reader will not read the whole thing,
page by page, slowly but consistently 'Empirical political theory, a methodological framework' by yours truly and under contract with OUP, is being completed. I now have something like/more or less/ the full manuscript. A lot of work still to be done, but I can see the ending...hopefully...sort of..
