None of the stuff about “AI slowdown” actually explains what that means or what’s being slowed down. Anthropic’s blog about it says they’ll still train new models. I guess if it’s a “slowdown” maybe that’s how hyperscalers could reconcile with letting them out of compute deals?

somewhere out there is an incandescently furious bank manager who made one mistake and now has to forever subsidise a credit card with which my manic pixie madman is currently buying things like five kilograms of red frog lollies

being a chaos goblin auntie is all fun and games until two accusing pairs of eyes are on you while they ask what you had for breakfast and you have to say ginger biscuits and sour worms and the youngest one says in a very firm, kindly voice, "THAT IS NOT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST AUNTIE WENDEE"

that there's a nearby tree w/two eagles in it, and that i purchased a zoom lens for my camera, is CAUSATION that i prefer short kings, and that i wrote a feral Aussie short king who occasionally wields stock whips and faces off giant crocodiles, is CORRELATION* *that you can prove, anyway ;)

writing Aussie urban fantasy is THE most fun bc what do you MEAN i get to do scenes with giant crocs and cattle whips and still look people in the eyes and tell them i'm a full-time author
