About 20 years ago (when Durand scores were prohibitively pricey), as a poor college student I played pachinko in Japan with my dad & that got me about $300, with which I went to a local music store to buy the score of Messiaen's "Vingt Regards..." It's a depressing revelation, but not surprising.
