The future is unwritten. You get to help shape it. So what do you want it to look like? Move in that direction. Welcome friends to join you along the way. Even if they’re “late”. Even if you don’t agree on everything. If you can agree on a vision of the future together, they’re your people.

This has me thinking about an 8th grade problem we just did about songs and albums and the cost. Students were getting confused because the table of numbers was different than they were used to. 30+0=15. 22+1=15 (number if songs and albums = $15) Love the connection to SMP2

I am about to start looking at extension and enrichment for a 6th grade unit on long division. Would love input on what others see as mathematical depth with this standard and connections to other 6th grade concepts. #ITeachMath #MTBoS #EduSky

There were a few key things I will remember as joyful during the pandemic and shut down. Doing #MathArtChallenge with my children is one of them. I am so grateful for @anniekp.bsky.social and her work. And happy for the reminder to start sharing this joy with students again.
