Good write up here! Though I do think the answer to why corps will run what feels like a leftist manifesto is less complicated than it's made out here. Comics is a niche, a non-mainline series is more niche, why not take money from the left if they will offer it and praise you for it?

Keep yelling at them, canceling PS+, and not buying anything from them. They wouldn't even say they are moving forward "cautiously" if they didn't see how this could poison the whole brand.

Man, I love Ghost In The Shell. Given how one-to-one most manga adaptations can be, it's so refreshing to see one story stretch itself in so many different directions. You get somber musings on post-humanity, action-heavy cyberpunk procedurals, bright and zany satire, so much more. It's too good
