Love this movie! Annoyingly, the only Blu-ray I've been able to find of it is region A, which is annoying when you're in Europe. Honestly, I should look into finding a region-free player instead of relying on my PS5

My work day would immediately improve. I don't use AI for anything, but just getting some Google results that aren't riddled with some random made-up bullshit would already mean things are looking up. I also wouldn't have to waste my work time on AI-related discussions. That's hours, some days.

Like, I cannot oversell to you how great The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. holds up. Indiana Jones is clearly an inspiration, but its tone is wholly its own - it's the best western adventure with slight sci-fi/steampunk elements show you'll ever watch.

Replaying Thimbleweed Park, and there's a diary from a character that... reads very differently in 2026. Like, AI psychosis before AI psychosis was a thing As is mostly the case in fiction, the AI here is *actually* intelligent, but still, some of the entries echo reality to an uncomfortable degree

I want to mock this guy, but I'm just creeped out by how genuine this question clearly is. Within a couple of years, a non-insignificant number of people full-on cannot fathom a world without genAI, and know in their bones that *everyone* must be using it, some people are just too proud to admit it.

all my interactions with ai are miserable and nonconsensual. it is the reason my programs are running slowly, why my weather report is inaccurate, why I always get connected to the wrong department of any automated call service. I would pay a lot of money to be rid of it.

Every time I mention that I only played PC between 1997-ish and 2011, I feel the need to clarify that it was strictly because I didn't have money to both upgrade it AND buy consoles, because I don't want people to think I was ever one of those PC Master Race assholes

I check Clearsky sometimes, just for my own entertainment, and 3 days ago, I was added to 2 lists. One is called "misogynists", which coincides with some TERFs finding my skeet about being fine with trans ppl wishing JK Rowling dead. So that doesn't matter. It's the other one that troubles me.

ANYWAY. This game was my introduction to Shannara, and it's pretty good! (Note: Shannara is actually pretty great fantasy once you get past the first book, which is basically a speed run of Lord of the Rings. Even the first book would be a fine read if not for the fact that LotR already exists)
