Replaying Thimbleweed Park, and there's a diary from a character that... reads very differently in 2026. Like, AI psychosis before AI psychosis was a thing As is mostly the case in fiction, the AI here is *actually* intelligent, but still, some of the entries echo reality to an uncomfortable degree

Every time I mention that I only played PC between 1997-ish and 2011, I feel the need to clarify that it was strictly because I didn't have money to both upgrade it AND buy consoles, because I don't want people to think I was ever one of those PC Master Race assholes

I check Clearsky sometimes, just for my own entertainment, and 3 days ago, I was added to 2 lists. One is called "misogynists", which coincides with some TERFs finding my skeet about being fine with trans ppl wishing JK Rowling dead. So that doesn't matter. It's the other one that troubles me.

ANYWAY. This game was my introduction to Shannara, and it's pretty good! (Note: Shannara is actually pretty great fantasy once you get past the first book, which is basically a speed run of Lord of the Rings. Even the first book would be a fine read if not for the fact that LotR already exists)
