President Trump’s economy is failing. Inflation rose even higher in August, sending diesel prices to a historic all-time high of more than $6 a gallon. That means higher costs for truckers, farmers and working folks. Does this feel like a golden age to you?

Mom of four boys, Mimi to three grandsons, wife to Cheryl and Minnesota Lynx superfan. U.S. Rep for Minnesota’s 2nd District. Fighting for all Minnesotans.
Cheryl and I are wishing a very happy Rosh Hashanah to everyone who celebrates in Minnesota and across our country. May this new year be filled with joy. L’shana tovah! 🍎🍯
It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since 9/11. On this difficult day in our nation’s history, we remember the thousands of innocent Americans who died and honor the brave first responders who ran toward danger to save lives. We will never forget.
When Members of Congress resign because of misconduct, they can still collect their tax-funded benefits. Loopholes like this one are why so many have lost trust in government. I’m introducing a bill to ban Members of Congress who have violated their oath of office from receiving their pensions.
Happy Labor Day Minnesota! Coming from a union family, I know labor is the backbone of our state’s economy. Today, let’s honor Minnesota’s workers and continue fighting for the right to organize. 💪
I’ve got four months left serving Minnesota’s Second District and I want you to know exactly how I’m going to spend them: lowering costs, working to end the war in Iran and protecting Minnesotans’ access to the ballot box. There’s work left to do – and I intend to do it.
We’ve already made great strides toward lowering the cost of prescription drugs by capping the cost of insulin for Minnesota’s seniors – now it’s time to do it for everyone.
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. By checking in on our neighbors, reducing the stigma around mental health and helping folks access the care they need – we can help prevent suicide in our communities.
I am horrified by the news of a shooting in downtown Minneapolis that took the lives of innocent Minnesotans. Cheryl and I are keeping the victims, including several police officers, and their loved ones in our prayers as we continue to learn new information.
Yesterday, the House voted to delay the federal hemp ban by one month. It’s a step in the right direction — but it’s not nearly enough. Thousands of MN workers, farmers, brewers and producers depend on the hemp industry. I’ll keep fighting to stop the hemp ban and protect MN jobs.
I couldn’t be prouder that the MN State Transportation Center of Excellence has been selected as one of NASA’s 7 Aerospace Skilled Technical Workforce State Hubs. I was honored to support this project, which will establish MN as the only NASA hub of its kind in the Midwest! 🚀🪐⭐️
🧵Today marks one year since the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Cheryl and I are praying for the children, teachers and families whose lives were forever changed that day.
Earlier this year, in a series of tests, OpenAI’s agents executed coordinated attacks on another AI platform. This is shocking, and a serious threat to our nation’s cybersecurity. We’ve got to put common-sense AI guardrails in place – that’s why I’m personally pushing Sam Altman to take action.
I wanted to take a second to thank my fabulous summer interns in both my personal offices and on the House Ag Committee! Young people are the future – and with this group of passionate leaders, I’d say we are in good hands!
While you’re prepping for back-to-school season, it’s a great time to make sure you and your family’s immunizations are up to date! This National Immunization Month, let’s all commit to keeping our communities safe and healthy. 💉
I’m proud to announce that nearly $50,000 in federal funding is coming to the Le Sueur Municipal Airport! This funding will provide critical updates to the airport’s infrastructure and boost Le Sueur County’s local economy. ✈️
Four years ago today, the PACT Act was signed into law. It was a critical step in expanding health care for our nation’s toxic-exposed veterans, but that fight is far from over. I’ll keep working to ensure all of Minnesota’s brave servicemembers can access the benefits and care they have earned.
Trump gutted wildfire prevention efforts and in MN, we’re seeing the impacts in our own backyard. I’m proud to introduce the Wildfire Response and Readiness Act to advance prevention and response strategies while delivering long-overdue support for MN wildland firefighters. Let’s get it done.
There’s no sugarcoating it: Trump’s economy is flailing. Between lost jobs and rising costs — Minnesotans are paying the price. Does this feel like the “golden age of America” to you?
President Trump’s attacks on health care have already sent costs skyrocketing for Minnesotans. Now, he’s trying to gut programs that help seniors afford lifesaving prescription drugs. We won’t let him.
Trump is threatening Hennepin County Sheriff Witt with criminal charges for refusing to enable ICE’s cruel agenda. Sheriff Witt made an oath to keep MN safe — something ICE could learn a thing or two about. This is a baseless attack and we can’t stand for it. www.startribune.com/ice-hennepin...
ICE warns of criminal charges against Hennepin County sheriff over jail’s immigration policy
The office said Sheriff Dawanna Witt received immigration subpoenas over a failure to give access to inmates for deportation.

Another heartless attack on Minnesota kids. Head Start provides critical early education — and it’s been on President Trump’s chopping block since day one. Our kids deserve better. They deserve Head Start. www.npr.org/2026/08/06/n...
Trump administration moves to deregulate Head Start, opening door for sweeping change
It would slim regulation of the 60-year-old anti-poverty program and aim to save money. Advocates worry the changes could undermine the early education program's mission.

Todd Blanche (Trump’s personal lawyer) has vowed to ban abortion nationwide, propped up Trump’s DOJ slush fund and refused to meet with Epstein survivors. Today, Republicans advanced his confirmation to AG. This man is deeply unfit to serve — every Senator should vote no on his confirmation.
Minnesota’s public safety officers work every day to keep our communities safe, and they deserve a training facility that equips them to do their jobs safely and effectively – that’s the FiRST Center.
The Trump Admin claims they’re “Making Education Great Again.” The reality? More red tape, wasted tax dollars and a growing backlog of unresolved and unanswered cases. Minnesotans deserve better. We want answers. craig.house.gov/media/press-...

🧵The wildfires in the Boundary Waters were preventable. Last year, a $10 million grant for wildfire prevention efforts passed President Trump’s desk. He let DOGE cut it.
