Rep. Angie Craig

Mom of four boys, Mimi to three grandsons, wife to Cheryl and Minnesota Lynx superfan. U.S. Rep for Minnesota’s 2nd District. Fighting for all Minnesotans.

Todd Blanche (Trump’s personal lawyer) has vowed to ban abortion nationwide, propped up Trump’s DOJ slush fund and refused to meet with Epstein survivors. Today, Republicans advanced his confirmation to AG. This man is deeply unfit to serve — every Senator should vote no on his confirmation.

Union labor built this country – and MN union workers continue to play a key role in supporting and growing our state’s economy. Yesterday, I was proud to host my inaugural unsung union heroes recognition event in Burnsville to honor labor leaders in #MN02.

Minnesota — we need your help. My constituent Edward Hanton has been missing for 5 days and his family is desperately searching for him. They believe he may be headed towards Superior, WI. If you see Ed, or a green Honda CR-V with a MN license plate # PSH740, please call 911 immediately.

I’m joining my House Democratic colleagues in an effort to force Speaker Johnson to bring the American Dream and Promise Act to a vote. It’s time for comprehensive immigration reform in this country and it starts with a pathway to citizenship for our Dreamers. Let’s get it done.

ICE’s terror has touched families everywhere – including in the classroom.   Students deserve to learn without the fear of being traumatized by ICE. I’m proud to join Rep. Garcia in introducing legislation that would help schools maintain trauma-informed learning environments.

It was great to see the Midwest Council on Ag in Washington to discuss how we can continue our work to support farmers across the Midwest! We know agriculture is the backbone of our economy – and together, we’ll keep fighting for Minnesota’s family farmers and producers. 🐷🐓🚜🌾🌽

Our work is better when it’s done together – that's why farm cooperatives are vital to our ag economy. It was great to meet with the folks at the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives to discuss how we can make sure Minnesota’s farm co-ops get the support they need!

Today, House Republicans put forward their third disastrous budget plan, which included: ❌ $10 billion in funding for Trump’s voter-suppression sham.   ❌ $73 billion in funding for his war of choice in Iran. ❌ $0 to lower costs for hardworking Minnesotans.  I voted no.

Canada has been an integral partner in fighting the BWCA wildfires and ensuring the safety of Minnesotans up North. In return, Trump has treated them terribly. Today, I sat face-to-face with Trump’s hand-picked Forest Service Chief and said to Canada what the admin refuses to: thank you.

🧵Hemp has grown into a nearly $30 billion industry, supporting local economies across our country. The federal hemp ban scheduled for this November would deal a fatal blow to responsible hemp businesses in Minnesota and beyond.

Republicans are once again trying to rig our elections, this time under the guise of a stock trading ban (that doesn’t even work). Not only does it permit Congress to inside trade, it exempts the President (who has traded more stock than the entirety of Congress combined) from any regulatory action.

Tariffs haven’t worked to lower costs for Minnesotans and they won’t work to put out wildfires. Instead of adding more tariffs that raise the cost of living, why not thank the Canadian search and rescue crews that worked alongside MN and U.S. Forest Service to save the lives of 15 MN kids last week?

Congress is back in session this week, and House Republicans are trying to pass yet another disastrous budget with no funding for health care, schools or food assistance programs. What it does include? $10 billion for Trump’s election-rigging scheme. Hell no.

I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of two American servicemembers killed in the line of duty in Jordan, and am praying for the safe return of the one still missing. I am holding their families and loved ones in our hearts during this incredibly difficult time. This war must end.

A few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting with my constituent, Alexandra, on her trip to Washington. Alexandra, thanks for your visit. It’s young leaders like you who bring me hope for the next generation. You’ve got a bright future ahead! www.hometownsource.com/sun_thisweek...

Involving younger generations in civic politics has been a growing effort, and the Dakota Electric Association aims to inspire young people to leave their mark.

🧵Six years ago we lost a colleague, a champion of civil rights and my friend, John Lewis. Together, we introduced legislation to ban discrimination in the adoption process, so LGBTQ+ families like mine can provide kids a loving home.
