The weather was perfect for today's Crab-a-train! We went by train Ipswich to Woodbridge. Thanks to Deben Yacht Club for donating club access, fitting buoyancy aids on everyone & drinks! Thanks to Jayne, now retired from Essex/South Suffolk CRP, for her help! It was one of those great #DaysOutByRail
Looking for a low-cost family day out? Hop on the train to #Felixstowe and enjoy a day at the beach! The Promenade is just a 15 minute walk away. There's lots to do: amusements, the ferris wheel, shops, restaurants and cafés. Go by train and make new family memories! #DaysOutByRail #FamilyAdventures
Today we used public transport to take 14 folks to East Bergholt, the inspiration for painter John Constable's The Hay Wain. Last week they saw the painting @ Christchurch Mansion. We went by bus to Constable Country, walked to Manningtree station, and picked blackberries as we went. #DaysOutByRail

Cycle restrictions-Dunwich Dynamo. Cyclists won't be able to transport bikes by rail after the event. Each train has 6 cycle spaces, not enough for the number of cyclists taking part. Cycles are not permitted on Intercity trains Sun 26/7, or Lowestoft-Ipswich & Lowestoft-Norwich Sun 26/7 & Mon 27/7.

In March we told you about the new screen Greater Anglia installed at #Ipswich station. It shows real-time train info, any disruption & onward bus connections. GA has now added a map displaying the bus number/location of the stops outside the station, helping to create even more seamless journeys.
Today we attended the 188th Woodbridge Regatta, on the doorstep of Woodbridge Rail station, handing out goody bags with adopters Fiona and Chris from Melton station. We also met Paul from Bee Cafe; he makes bee-friendly planters to help bees find pollen in urban areas. @communityrail.bsky.social
