Ethel, a very human looking warforged sits on the ground. Arrows litter the ground around her and she hunches forward, holding her core- which has been removed through a hole in her chest.

Black tubing hangs loosely from the opening and dangles on the ground around her knees. Only a couple of the black cables/tubing from her chest are connected to it, and the rest leak a black liquid that pools beneath her. Some of this black blood can be seen on her back, down her chest, and dripping from her lips to her chin- and down onto the core in her hands. Her reflection can be seen in the pools on the ground.

The core glows with a harsh pink light and she looks at it mournfully. The background is honestly idk what- rubble??? and a red sun that hangs low overhead.

I got super lost in the sauce for Paris Paloma's Bleeding Part of Me song and so now here we are. The caption is a reference to this.

A warforged woman (Ethel) who looks mostly human besides the visible joints on her body and limbs. She lies in a distorted bed of metal twisted into the approximate shape of roses and sharp spikes that jut from the ground. One arm is raised up above her head dramatically, with the back of her hand resting on her forehead. This arm is tangled in the black wires/tubing that comes from an open chest cavity, that also wind around her neck and torso. Her other arm is raised, with one hand on her chest above the open cavity. The skin layer on one side of her neck, chest, and half of her face that's obscured by her hair is missing, revealing the metallic inner workings. A pink light emits from the open chest and the socket of her covered eye. Falling from above is a teardrop shaped gemstone- part of her core that was removed upon her creation and given to her "fiancé".

Parts of her skin lift and distort, looking like metallic petals. It is unclear if she is coming one with the ground or was made from it.

Artists notes:
Ethel is HEAVILY inspired by Blodeuwedd, a character from The Mabinogion (11th century Welsh story) who was created from flowers to be the wife of Lleu Llaw Gyffes. In the story she is not particularly fleshed out, but exists in a world where your family/clan is EXTREMELY important, but has none. She was created for the sole purpose of loving Lleu Llaw Gyffes, but instead falls in love with another man when he is away. She and the man she loves plot together to kill her husband and live together, but their plans are thwarted. Blodeuwedd flees into the forest, where she is turned into an owl so she may never enjoy the sun or company of other birds again.
