it turned out yesterday was a holiday so i extended this to 73 hours, but it barely made a dent. on to tuesday plan (pictures)
weekend plan: 49 hours of sleep
If you’re going to email me late on a Friday, this is the only subject line I will tolerate.
was wondering why i got tired just from just moving a few things around the studio and it turns out my main pc case weighs 18.5 kg (40 lbs), so that probably qualifies as operating heavy machinery
full day off so on to my intense rest and relaxation program (rewatching the cristian mungiu filmography at 7 in the morning) - what a balm it is to see widescreen movies where every shot isn't a person's head in the dead center of the screen with the rest completely out of focus
i was just going to ask TODAY (for no personal reason whatsoever) if there was maybe any news about this at sdcc and
just when i thought i got through the week without further calamities, the pizza i ordered arrived and it took me at least 40 full seconds to figure out what was odd about it -- there was no logo on the box -- because it was face down
this again today / at some point i'll have one of those custom keyboards telemarketers have to post the appropriate one of these depending on the day
was this a good use of a lunch break? probably not. SLK #012 (of 1000)
hey, it's not 100% yellow outside anymore, i guess global warming has been solved. on with thursday then
learned a shocking amount in six weeks of painting around the clock, but boy do i also can't wait to get back to some pictures that are done when i finish them (the closest i have come to internalizing the concept of 'vacation')
overwriting files tends to be a disaster, but this time it forced me to pretty much paint everything in one layer, which is less flexible but twenty times faster, so it actually turned out to be the best thing that could have happened* (*there were several better things that could have happened)
friday plan was going to be this, but with how the day has been going, at this point i am changing it to just "avoiding aneurysms"
usually i leave the most mindless/boring stuff for last and find myself drawing fifty chairs at three in the morning while running on fumes, and cursing myself, but this time i (implausibly) remembered to not do it, so the last thing to draw today is a raccoon with a combover
the days continue to beat us all up, but there's no level of tired where seeing pictures and photos like these won't make me go "hooray for making things, isn't it the best" (now more than ever, really)

despite being within the earshot of one of the stadiums i haven't been keeping up with the world cup recently (since 1996 or so), did the vatican make it into the semifinals
after ten? eleven? years i finally had to replace my 1st gen ipad, so I'm testing the new one by subjecting it to the most intense computing operation known to man: rotating three layers at the same time in clip studio paint
tomorrow is somehow July? calendars have really gotten out of hand during my lifetime
hey, i'm from the neretva valley, and i was aware it's far, but i didn't know it was on mars (back when i was a kid, the peculiar white rock was all we had to play with, there were no switches or steam decks)

thanks to @calumalexanderwatt.bsky.social for making me think "wait, where -did- i keep my desk-sized fuchs stuff, now that I actually have a free ogling desk" / commence weekend program
sometimes i end up doing better work painting with a mouse, probably because it slows things down
i can't remember if i even posted the fifth one, but hey: six of six. for the last one i had the presence of mind to factor in that white works different on paper, so i took out everything i could (even more so than usual)
